(1) Optogenetic approaches with silicon neural probes for combined recording and stimulation & (2) Optogenetic identification of cortical neurons in freely behaving rats

Join us for an in-depth presentation by Tahl Holtzman (Founder of Cambridge NeuroTech) covering a general introduction to using our silicon neural probes alongside optogenetic applications in acute and chronic experiments. Surgical approaches for chronic implantation of probes + fibers are also covered. Also hear Huub Terra (Vrije University Amsterdam) describe how he has applied chronically implanted probes with co-aligned fiber cannulas for optogenetic identification of medial prefrontal cortical neurons in freely-behaving rats performing self-initiated 5-choice-serial-reaction-time-task. Detailed single unit photo-identification criteria are discussed.
